A Washington, D.C.-based think tank says it has identified more than a dozen secret missile operating bases inside North Korea.

The Center for Strategic and International Studies said in a new report Monday it located what appears to be 13 missile operating bases that haven't been declared by the government. And the organization believes there are seven other undeclared facilities inside the country.

The CSIS says these bases can be used to build all classes of ballistic missiles, including intercontinental ballistic missiles, but that they're not typically used for launches except in an emergency.

The news comes as the U.S. continues its efforts to convince North Korea to give up its nuclear weapons program.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo was supposed to meet with a top North Korean official last week to talk about denuclearization, but that meeting was canceled at the last minute.
