North Korea plans to send a high-level delegation to the closing ceremony of the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.

South Korea's Ministry of Unification says the eight-member delegation will include Ri Son-gwon, who led talks between the two countries last month ahead of North Korea's participation in the games.

North Korean military general Kim Yong-chol is also part of the delegation. He used to lead the country's intelligence agency, which South Korea accused of sinking one of their navy ships in 2010, killing 46 sailors.

South Korea's Unification Ministry said it expects the North's delegation will "help advance the process of settling peace on the Korean Peninsula."

The closing ceremony will take place Sunday. U.S. President Donald Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump — who also acts as one of the president's advisers — is leading the U.S. delegation.
