Going Green Isn't Just For The Living

Certain cemeteries allow green burials, and more people are considering that option.

More and more people are thinking about going green — even after they die.

Green burials are pretty simple. One method replaces the typical decorated casket with a biodegradable, wood one.

There's also no embalming, which means the process is chemical-free and better for the Earth.

But because there's no embalming, displaying the body at a funeral is pretty much out of the question.

Those interested would have to opt for a cemetery that actually allows green burials. More than 100 in the U.S. do.
