Microsoft wants to buy ZeniMax to be more competitive with Sony's PlayStation, but it needs the EU's signoff.

A decision for Microsoft's acquisition of ZeniMax Media will come by early next month.

The $7.5 billion deal is waiting to be cleared by EU regulators.

They will make a decision by March 5.

Microsoft wants to buy the gaming company to be more competitive with Sony's PlayStation platform.
